Physical Therapy Assistant

Maggie Lucas, PTA graduated Summa Cum Laude from Southwestern Community College with an A.A.S. in Physical Therapist Assistant in the spring of 2014. Maggie also has a B.A. in Adventure Education from Prescott College in Arizona. In 2001, Maggie broke her back in a climbing accident, introducing her to the world of physical therapy. Her previous career background involves therapeutic wilderness and residential treatment programs for troubled youth in Arizona, Idaho, and North Carolina. Maggie is certified in Fascial Movement Taping by RockTape and is an Original Strength Certified Clinician. She recently completed her Advanced Proficiency in Orthopaedics certification program with the APTA. Maggie utilizes modalities such as cupping, IASTM, and kinesiotaping as adjuncts to exercise to get patients back to the activities they enjoy and love. A former collegiate runner, Maggie maintains an active lifestyle with weightlifting, trail running, walking, and parenting her two young children. Maggie believes that rehabilitation is a holistic process supported by nutrition, lifestyle, activity, and community support.
