WHAT Is Kinesiotaping and McConnell Taping Therapy?
Kinesio Tape (KT), or kinesiology tape, is a newly popularized modality that is used by therapists trained in the Kinesio Taping Method by Certified Kinesio Taping Instructors (CKTI).
Kinesio Tape is a latex-free hypoallergenic cotton fiber tape with an acrylic heat-activated backing that stretches only along its longitudinal axis.
The McConnell Taping Method is a technique that tapes body parts to affect a specific biomechanical movement.

Benefits of Kinesiotaping and McConnell Taping:
It is more economical over time than other modalities, it is easy to learn and apply, there are less types of tape, and it may be used over a longer period of time. The Kinesio Taping Method differs from athletic strapping tape and the traditional McConnell Taping Method.
The McConnell Taping Method is a technique that tapes body parts to affect a specific biomechanical movement.
McConnell Tape uses a very rigid, highly adhesive tape that is applied for no more than 18 hours and often for shorter periods of time due to patient discomfort.

- Determination of the diagnosis and impairments that are causing your pain and establishment of a treatment plan of care.

What Our Clients Say
Went here for right leg pain with calf spasms. Maggie Parker and her team did a great job. From the moment I walked in the door till I left, I felt welcomed. They heled with my needs and concerns, Gave me a verity of things I can continue to do at home. They always had a smile and an encouraging word. I have and will continue to recommend this group for any Physical Therapy needs. I went to SEPT for a few months following knee surgery and I would recommend this location for anyone in need of physical therapy. I worked mainly with Phillip and Jami, and they were both great! All of the employees there, from the front desk to the PTs and PTAs, are caring people that genuinely wanted to help me improve from my injury. I strongly recommend this place to anyone!
